Q : How will the picture quality be on my TV?

О: Качество изображения равно к цифровому телевидению.
Это не "HDTV" но вы будете приятно удивлены чистотой
изображения и звука. Это совсем другое от Веб-ТВ.
У вас НЕ будет "замерзать" или "задерживаться" картинка.
Изображение ничем не отличается от кабельного ТВ.
Наша "миссия" состоит в предоставлении стандартных по качеству
телевизионных услуг сравнимые с кабельным ТВ или "тарелкой."

A: The picture quality is equal to digital broadcast television.
While it is not high definition, you will be amazed with the
clarity and sound. IPTV is not the same as watching TV on your PC.
You will not have the "freezing" or pixelation of the picture.
Rather, the picture will no different than watching cable TV.
The priority for TV-RUS is to provide the basic service quality
-- in terms of picture and sound -- that viewers have come to
expect from other platforms such as satellite and cable.

A: IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. Currently,
television is transmitted through satellite or through cable.
IPTV adds another element to the mix - television through
your existing broadband internet connection WITHOUT THE NEED
FOR A COMPUTER. Any consumer possessing a broadband connection
and a television will be ready for the IPTV revolution.

IPTV uses a two-way digital signal sent through a switched
telephone or cable network by way of a broadband connection
and a set-top box programmed with software (much like DSS box)
that can handle viewer requests to access to many available
media sources.

The viewer''s TV connects to a Set Top Box (STB) that decodes
the IP video and converts it into standard television signals.
The consumer can access different channels by using
the TV remote to send control commands to the servers.
The unit processes the request and displays the requested
channel. Though there are many possible media sources,
only one video channel is utilized in the process.

The "TV-RUS" Formula

TV-RUS is dedicated to bringing multicultural
programming from overseas to North America.
The TV-RUS formula is simple.
Each time you access a channel, you are
accessing servers that will stream this
content to your TV through the internet.
TV-RUS is charged for this service.
This means that we pay money for bandwidth,
which is the process of transmitting
signals from the internet to your TV.
The charges for the multicultural packages
are charges for unlimited bandwidth on a
monthly basis. For instance, if you pay
the rate of $39.95(USD) OR $49.95(CAN)
you can access any of the channels in
your package anytime for that particular
month. All you need is our set top box
and a broadband connection.

Q: If I have more than one receiver, do I have to
pay a full monthly subscription for each receiver?

A: Unfortunately, TV-RUS subscriptions are limited to
one monthly subscription per receiver. The system is
not like cable, as you cannot subscribe to one package,
and get the programming on different TVs for no charge.

Rather, TV-RUS, or IPTV technology, functions based on
the amount of internet bandwidth used by the person
watching TV. For instance, if you watch 3 hours of TV
per day, and your neighbor watches 8 hours a day, it
would cost us alot more for your neighbors subscription,
as we are charged for the bandwidth costs. This is why
you have to pay 2 subscriptions for two receivers to
watch on two different TVs.

However, there are alternative solutions. TV-RUS
sells the Audio Video Sender as an addon accessory.
This allows you to watch your TV-RUS receiver on
two different TVs at the same time by transmitting
the signal from one TV to another. You can also use
the remote control on either TV. You must watch the
same channel on both TVs.
